4th Annual Mile of Music Festival 2016

Midwest fam - where you at?! This summer I will be traveling to Appleton, Wisconsin for the amazing Mile of Music Festival. 

After an impromptu "calling singers to the stage"  moment during Cory Chisel's set at The Sh*tty Barn in Madison, WI earlier this summer, he graciously invited me to join the festival in his hometown. 

Really looking forward to hitting the stage, singing some new music from my forthcoming album and might even take a little detour to Chicago! Send me some venue recommendations for the Windy City folks!

Elle Winston x Beats1 Radio

Recently myself and my crew swung by the Beats1 Radio studio here in NYC for the #Beats1 #SoundsofNY Series! We had so much fun performing some exclusive songs from the forthcoming album, as well as one of our fav covers!  It was one of the highlights of my 2016 thus far! 

 The show aired yesterday evening and I woke up bright and early this morning to catch the replay.  As I listened, I have to admit that I got a little misty. It's weird to think about where these songs started and then having them spread and shared with so many people you can't see. It also feels amazing! More and more I'm feeling the joy of being in the moment. I'm measuring my success by the distance I've traveled for my own personal grow. That's the only real thing I can measure. I'm ever grateful for the people who support me, believe in me and continue to so generously give of their time and talent.

 Joining me on this performance was the incredible Todd Martino & Granville Mullings Jr. We covered "Hurry On Now" by Alice Russell and performed the original tune "Bird" co-written by myself and Alex Smith. 

We also performed two other originals, "Heavy Now" co-written by myself and producer DJ soulplusmind and "Always" co-written by myself and Alex Smith. 

Last but not least a HUGE thank you to Ebro, Karlie Hustle and the whole the Apple Music / Beats1 Radio team for the warm welcome and support.

Show Recap: Elle Winston x Apollo Music Cafe

There are shows that come your way that feel like they are right on time. This weekend's Apollo Music Cafe show was one of those. My last experience at the Apollo was for Amateur night and that was well... an adventure to say the least! This time meant so much more. 

I'm coming up on five years and to have this show happening so naturally feels like I continue to find myself in the right place, at the right time among the kindest of folks. Hard work paying off feels good. 

Thank you so The LRC Funk Band: Les Cleveland (MD), Andrew Fisher (keys), Antoine Katz (bass) and Matthias Loescher (guitar). It was an honor to play with you gentlemen. 

Much love to Rich Johnson of Soul Factory and the entire Apollo team, for booking me and making me feel so thoroughly supported. Thank you to Melodie Nicholson who headlined this show and tore the house down. Your warmth and kindness were an example to be followed! What a night!
